About Me

Lilly West (she/her) is a stage manager from the suburbs of Chicago. She adored watching live performances as a child, but it was never the spotlight she was drawn to. In high school she learned there was a place for her backstage. There, she fell in love with stage management where her organizational, managerial, and people skills came to life. She went on to work for pre-professional theaters in her home town, including Steel Beam Theatre, Goodly Creatures, and Independent Players.

Currently, Lilly is a sophomore at University of Cincinnati's College Conservatory of Music (CCM) pursuing a BFA in stage management. She falls more in love with the craft every day as she is surrounded by like-minded individuals and industry professionals who urge her to grow. Additionally, she gains empathy, versatility, and training for other disciplines in her field as she works in crew positions of wardrobe, scenic, and lighting.

Lilly values theatre's unique quality of being a living and breathing art form. You can observe a painting or read a poem in solace, but theatre is the only art form that is living and breathing with a village of people behind it. Lilly knows that theatre & stage management starts with people. She aims to always culture a positive and supportive environment where people feel respected, supported, and empowered to take risks. Lilly fiercely believes in the political impact theatre can have and hopes to create safe environments for difficult stories to be told.
